Rule 185-16.40 - Equipment, furnishings, fixtures

(1) An industry member is prohibited from directly or indirectly giving, selling, renting, or lending equipment, furnishings or fixtures to a retailer for use by the retailer or in the retail establishment.

(2) A prohibited indirect inducement includes, but is not limited to, obtaining equipment, furnishings, or fixtures for a retailer through a third-party arrangement where the resulting benefits flow to an individual retailer.

This rule is intended to implement Iowa Code sections 123.45 and 123.186.
