Sec. 17.
(a) The commission shall issue its final order under IC 4-21.5-3-29. A final order of the commission must be in writing and be signed by a majority of the members of the commission who voted in favor of the action taken by the commission. A final order must include findings of facts and conclusions of law, separately stated.(b) The commission staff shall mail or deliver a copy of the order to each party or the party's representative.(c) A final order of the commission takes effect on the date the order is issued, unless otherwise stated in the order.(d) If the commission finds that an imminent peril to the public health, safety, or welfare requires an immediate final order in a proceeding, the commission shall recite that finding in the order in addition to reciting that the order is final from the date issued.
