Sec. 1.
(a) The owner shall have plans and specifications for each configuration of outdoor event equipment, including, without limitation, each configuration of structural design, and audio, lighting, video, and scenic components, prepared by an individual who is: (1) competent to design the outdoor event equipment; and(2) registered as an architect under IC 25-4 or as a professional engineer under IC 25-31.(b) Each page of the plans and loose page specifications, and the title page of bound specifications, shall include the legible signature and the seal of the individual described in subsection (a). (c) Such plans and specifications shall include all of the following, as applicable: (1) A site plan drawn to scale, showing dimensioned location of building property lines, and to all adjacent buildings on the property, as well as width of any street or easements bordering the property, as well as the intended location of the audience. (2) Foundation or other anchorage plans and details, including, without limitation, guying systems and ground anchorage. (3) Sections and details of all elements, including roofs, showing the following: (4) Structural plans and elevations showing size and location of all members, truss designs showing all connection details, and all stress calculations.(5) Details indicating how required structural integrity will be with respect to: (B) communication; conduit, pipes, and similar systems.(6) Construction specifications.(7) Electrical plans showing: (A) the electrical distribution system; (B) the service equipment;(C) the grounding methods; and(D) the emergency and standby power systems. (8) Additional information as may be required by the division to show that the outdoor event equipment will comply with the rules of the commission.(9) Installation or erection and dismantling instructions.(d) Design loads, including wind, snow, and seismic loads, shall comply with the provisions of the building code and Chapters 26, 29, 30, and 31 and Section 1.2.1 of ASCE 7.(e) Maximum limits of loads imposed by audio, lighting, video, and scenic components shall be included in the plans and specifications.Filed 3/6/2017, 3:20 p.m.: 20170405-IR-675150332FRAReadopted filed 5/11/2023, 2:22 p.m.: 20230607-IR-675230104RFA
