(a) Before swine for breeding purposes may be transported into the state, the swine must have tested negative for brucellosis on an official test within thirty (30) days prior to transportation into the state. The following swine are exempt from the test required in this subsection:(1) Swine under one hundred eighty (180) days of age.(2) Swine that originate from a herd that qualifies as a validated brucellosis-free herd.(3) Swine that originate from a validated brucellosis-free area. However, feral swine are not exempt.(b) All breeding swine that originate from an area that is not a validated brucellosis-free area are quarantined to the receiving producer's premises and must be: (1) isolated from all other animals; and(2) tested for brucellosis in not less than thirty (30) nor more than forty-five (45) days after the date of entry.
