Section 830.220 - Non-renewal of Technician Certificates
a) Structural pest control technician certificates shall be renewed up to one year after expiration by paying the renewal fee, late filing charge (as required by Section 9(a) of the Act) and furnishing evidence of attendance at a minimum of nine classroom contact hours, in increments of three hours or more, at Department-approved training seminars. A certificate issued by the Department pursuant to this Section shall expire three years after the technician's original renewal date.
b) Certificates lapsing more than one year but less than five years after expiration shall be renewed only after the individual files an application for examination, pays all required fees (i.e., a total fee composed of the application, renewal and late filing fee) and successfully passes the certification examinations.
c) No previously certified technician shall be allowed to attain certification without meeting the appropriate requirements as detailed in subsection (a) or (b).
