Section 3500.130 - Meetingsa)The Board shall meet at least quarterly each year and at the call of the chairperson as often as necessary to consider appeals of decisions made with respect to applications for a Firearm Owner's Identification Card under the Act.1) Whenever practicable, the Chairperson shall give members a minimum of 5 calendar days' advance notice prior to the date of a meeting.2) The Chairperson, or a designee, shall preside over all meetings.b)If necessary to ensure the participation of a member, the Board shall allow a member to participate in a Board meeting by electronic communication. Any member participating electronically shall be deemed present for purposes of establishing a quorum and voting. (Section 10(a-5)(3) of the Act)c)Meetings of the Board shall not be subject to the Open Meetings Act [5 ILCS 120 ] and records of the Board shall not be subject to the Freedom of Information Act [5 ILCS 140 ].
