Section 16.03.09.863 - EMERGENCY TRANSPORTATION SERVICES: PROCEDURAL REQUIREMENTS01.Services Subject to Review. Ambulance services are subject to review by the Department prior to the service being rendered, and on a retrospective basis.02.Non-Emergency Transport Prior Authorization Required. If an emergency does not exist, prior written authorization to transport by ambulance must be secured from the Department.03.Air Ambulance. Air ambulance services must be approved in advance by the Department, except in emergency situations.
