Section 19-142-14 - Official Inspection stations; operating procedures(a) Official inspection stations shall be operated in accordance with this chapter and the following: (1) Public official inspection stations shall be operated with reasonable regard for the convenience of the public;(2) Inspections shall be conducted only at official inspection stations which have been issued a permit by the director;(3) Inspections shall be conducted only by inspectors who have a valid inspector's certificate;(4) Official inspection stations shall not allow any of their vehicles to be in non compliance with this chapter.(5) Public official inspection stations may be required to post a sign with a minimum area of one hundred forty-four square inches, clearly visible from a public area, containing the words "Official Motor Carrier Vehicle Safety Inspection Station," together with the identifying letter and number assigned to that station; and(b) The director shall furnish copies of all instructions and required forms, including a copy of this chapter and any updates to every official inspection station. The copies will be available at the Motor Vehicle Safety Office.
