Upon receipt of information which indicates that a licensee has violated any provision of this chapter or chapter 462A, HRS, including but not limited to section 462A-8, HRS, the director upon petition by the department may initiate a hearing conducted pursuant to chapter 16-201, Hawaii Administrative Rules to determine whether the license shall be suspended, revoked, or denied.
