Section 13-95-50 - Kuhonu crab(a) It is unlawful for any person to possess with the intent to sell, or offer for sale, any pa[BAR]pa'i ku[BAR]honu less than four inches in length or in width across or along its back.(b) It is unlawful for any person to take, possess, or sell any pa[BAR]pa'i ku[BAR]honu with eggs. Any pa[BAR]pa'i ku[BAR]honu with eggs caught must immediately be returned to the waters from which the crab was taken. The possession of any pa[BAR]pa'i ku[BAR]honu, showing indications of its eggs having been scraped or removed is prima facie evidence of a violation of this section.(c) It is unlawful for any person to pursue, take, or kill any pa[BAR]pa'i ku[BAR]honu in the State with a spear.(d) It is unlawful for any person to offer for sale any speared pa[BAR]pa'i ku[BAR]honu.[Eff DEC 03 1998] (Auth: HRS § 187A-5) (Imp: HRS § 187A-5)Comp 1/31/21; Am and comp 2/22/2024
