Section 11-89-15 - Recreational and social activities(a) Residents shall be up, out of bed and appropriately dressed, daily, unless physician's orders indicate otherwise.(b) The caregiver shall provide and document social and recreational activities for residents on a regular basis and shall encourage participation in activities according to the resident's interest, needs, capabilities, and service plan.(c) Residents shall be encouraged by the caregiver to participate in work, educational, recreational, social, and health activities held by community agencies.(d) Visits with relatives and friends shall be allowed at reasonable hours.(e) The administrator or caregiver shall provide the resident with access to a radio and television.(f) Arrangements and provision for social activities shall be provided through private or public resources.(g) The administrator or caregiver shall arrange or provide means of transportation for residents to: (1) Visit physician and other medical providers;(2) Make facility transfers; or(3) Engage in activities outside the home.[Eff FEB 03 1992] (Auth: HRS §§ 321-9, 321-11, 321-15.9) (Imp: HRS § 321-15.9)
