Section 11-169-9 - Attention to driving(a) Every driver of a motor vehicle shall exercise due care in the operation of such vehicle upon any street or roadway in order to avoid collision with any person, vehicles or other property on or off such street or roadway.(b) The driver of any vehicle upon any street or roadway, before starting, turning or stopping such vehicle, shall first see that such movement or cessation of movement can be made with reasonable safety.(c) The driver of a motor vehicle shall not follow another vehicle more closely than is reasonable and prudent, having due regard for the speed of such other vehicle, and the condition of the street or roadway.[Eff.
