Rule 110-13-1-.05 - Review of Grant ApplicationsAll applications received from applicants will be reviewed to determine the merit of the application and the proposed use of funds. In determining whether an applicant shall receive a grant award, the following guidelines will be considered:
(1) Applications will be reviewed based upon the local, regional, or state-wide impact or benefit resulting from repayment of the obligation; the public exigencies which impel such repayment; and other guidelines determined appropriate by the Department.(2) All applications for funding from this program must provide written certification from the applicant, addressed to the Department, to the effect that the proposed expenditure of financial assistance grant funds is in accordance with all applicable legal requirements.(3) In its review of applications, the Department may, at its discretion, consult with other individuals or agencies as appropriate.(4) These guidelines are designed to assist the Department in making its decision and are not intended to establish definitive tests or standards. The decision which the Department makes shall be final and conclusive.Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. R. 110-13-1-.05
