Section 65-6.017 - Client Earnings(1) Fees shall not be assessed on wages which are below the minimum hourly wage under the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act.(2) Clients who are employed while in residential care may keep monthly earnings of up to $100. Of the remaining amount of earnings, the client may keep one third of the earnings. Two thirds of the earnings shall be subject to fee assessment in accordance with rule 65-6.019, F.A.C.(3) Clients, whose cost of service is being paid by the Medicaid Program, shall pay fees from client earnings in accordance with Medicaid regulations 42 C.F.R. Parts 430-436.(4) A client who was employed prior to admission, and who has earnings as a result of that employment, such as from self-employment, or sick or annual leave, shall be assessed on such earnings in accordance with rule 65-6.019, F.A.C.Fla. Admin. Code Ann. R. 65-6.017
