No program or component may involve political activities.
No participant may engage in partisan political activities during hours for which the participant is paid with funds provided by the Act.
No participant may be employed or out-stationed in the Office of a Member of Congress or a State or local legislator or on any staff of a legislative committee.
Except as provided for in § 417.3, the YES Director may approve, if documentation is submitted attesting to the non-political nature of the position, a position which is technically in an office but the program activities of that position is not in any way involved in the political functions of that office.
