Rule 29-5208 - INTENSIVE DAY TREATMENT5208.1Intensive Day Treatment ("IDT") services and interventions consist of structured individual and group activities and therapies that are planned, goal-oriented, and provided under active psychiatric supervision.
5208.2IDT shall:
(a) Be billed in one (1) day units pursuant to criteria set forth in Chapter 34 of Title 22-A DCMR;(b) Require prior authorization from DBH in accordance with requirements set forth in Chapter 34 of Title 22-A DCMR;(c) Not be billed while a consumer is enrolled in ACT, unless otherwise authorized by DBH;(d) Not be billed on the same day as Medication/Somatic Treatment, Counseling/Therapy, Rehabilitation Day Services, CBI, TF-CBT, FFT, Trauma Recovery and Empowerment Services, or TST. While a consumer is enrolled in IDT, Clubhouse shall not be billed;(e) Be provided in a DBH-certified MHRS provider's service site by Psychiatrists, Psychologists, LICSWs, APRNs, LISWs, LPCs, RNs, LMFTs, LGSWs, LGPCs, Psychology Associates, Physician Assistants, and credentialed staff under the supervision of a qualified practitioner licensed to practice independently.5208.3IDT providers shall not bill for Clinical Care Coordination ("CCC") for a consumer on the same day as a consumer's IDT encounter;
5208.4Intensive Day Treatment shall be delivered in accordance with the requirements set forth in Chapter 34 of Title 22-A DCMR.
