In order to receive Medicaid reimbursement, each facility providing assisted living services shall be licensed by the District of Columbia DOH and comply with the requirements set forth in the Assisted Living Residence Regulatory Act of 2000, effective June 24, 2000 (D.C. Law 13-127; D.C. Official Code §§ 44-101.01et seq.) and attendant rules.
In accordance with the DOH licensure requirements, each assisted living provider shall develop an individualized service plan (Plan of Care) that identifies the services to be included for the beneficiary, and ensure that the plan is shared with the beneficiary's case manager to facilitate coordination of all services received under the EPD Waiver program's PCSP.
In accordance with the Home and Community-Based setting requirements described in Subsections 4200.6 and 4200.7, each assisted living residence shall support the resident's dignity, privacy, independence, individuality, freedom of choice, decision making, spirituality and involvement of family and friends.
