Rule 23-2009 - CATERER SHOW CAUSE AND SUMMARY SUSPENSION PROCEEDINGS
2009.1

The Board, in response to written complaints from the public expressing concerns about disruptive activity or unlawful conduct at an event site or as a result of its own investigation, may order a show cause hearing pursuant to the procedures set forth in § 1604 or a summary suspension or summary revocation hearing pursuant to the procedures set forth in D.C. Official Code § 25 -826.

2009.2

Notice of a show cause hearing or a summary suspension or summary revocation hearing shall be provided by the Board to the licensee under a Caterer's license. If the issues at the hearing may involve the interests of an event site, the owner of an event site shall also be given notice of the hearing.

2009.3

If the Board determines that disruptive activity or unlawful conduct has occurred at the event site, the Board may place restrictions upon the number, nature, or size of events permitted at a site. If the Board determines that the activity or conduct is the product of the actions of a specific caterer, the Board may fine, suspend, or revoke the Caterer's license pursuant to Chapter 8 of Title 25 of the D.C. Official Code.
