No person shall practice as a CNA in the District of Columbia longer than four (4) months without first being certified by the Board.
A nurse aide shall be certified pursuant to § 9604.1 and registered by the Board pursuant to § 9651.1 within four (4) months of his or her hire date. If a nursing assistant who is not certified changes employment from one (1) long-term care facility to another, the time he or she was employed in the first facility shall count towards the four (4) month period for employment.
