Section 46a-54-34a - Complaint - when to file(a) A complaint must be filed within one hundred eighty (180) days after the alleged act of discrimination, except that a complaint by a person claiming to be aggrieved by a violation of section 46a-80(a) of the Connecticut General Statutes must be filed within thirty (30) days of the alleged act of discrimination.(b) In determining when an alleged act of discrimination occurred, the commission shall consider the following factors: (1) The date or dates on which the alleged act or acts of discrimination occurred;(2) The date on which the complainant knew or reasonably should have known that the alleged act or acts of discrimination occurred; and(3) The date on which the complainant knew or reasonably should have known that the alleged acts may have constituted discrimination.(c) A complaint alleging a continuing violation is sufficient if one of the acts comprising the continuing violation occurs within the filing period.Conn.
