Section 14-137-126 - Requirements1. The Federal Certification Label shall be affixed to each applicable motor vehicle as required under the provisions of 49 CFR Part 567, legible, and maintained in good condition.2. If repair work to a motor vehicle will damage the required label, prior to performing said repairs, the label shall be photographed and the photograph shall be maintained with the motor vehicle's registration until such time that a replacement label is affixed to the motor vehicle. The replacement label shall be affixed to the motor vehicle within three (3) months of completion of said repairs.3. If any motor vehicle which has been manufactured in two or more stages or has been altered under the provisions of 49 CFR Part 567 is missing the Federal Certification Label affixed to said motor vehicle by a manufacturer or a photograph of the original label is not available, the motor vehicle's gross vehicle weight rating and gross axle weight ratings shall revert to those established by the original manufacturer of the chassis and shall exclude any extra axles not originally installed on the chassis.Conn.
