Section 10-8a-1 - Authority(a) These regulations are authorized by Section 10-8a of the Connecticut General Statutes.(b) Any residential facility which has current State Board of Education approval shall be deemed to be an educational institution exempt from the requirements of Sections 17-48 and 17-51 of the General Statutes, provided that these regulations shall not exempt from the requirements of Sections 17-48 and 17-51 of the General Statutes any facility which maintains a special education program and has or is seeking State Board of Education approval for such program pursuant to Section 10-76d.Conn.
