A room shall be provided for isolation of potentially infectious patients which shall be physically separated from any other dialysis area, and shall be used in accordance with written policies approved by the medical director and nurse manger that provide for infection control procedures. The isolation room must be at least 110 square feet and must be equipped with a handwashing sink.
