Section 120.853 - Facility Closure(A) The Operator shall monitor the facility and carry out the closure plan until the facility closure is complete. The Department shall, in cooperation with appropriate officials of each site community, periodically inspect the Operator's implementation of the facility closure plan to ensure that the requirements in 105 CMR 120.800 and the conditions of the facility license are satisfied.(B) Facility closure shall be conducted so as to ensure the stability of the facility until the facility license is transferred to the Management Board pursuant to 105 CMR 120.870: Post-closure Observation and Maintenance.
