Section 9414 - Education and Experience(a) It shall be the responsibility of the county board of supervisors to assure that the administrator is qualified by his/her ability, training, and experience to administer or coordinate and monitor the county alcohol program. In carrying out this responsibility, the county board of supervisors shall not impose categorical requirements for such qualifications. Instead, the county board of supervisors shall utilize the following considerations to determine whether applicants are qualified: (1) Administrative experience in such areas as program development, program coordination, community organization, program organizations, program procedure, and budgeting.(2) Relevant educational background, such as courses or degrees in public administration, public health administration, or social sciences.(b) Degrees in those areas stated in subsection (a)(2) may be substituted for work experience referred to in subsection (a)(1).(c) Work experience listed in subsection (a)(1) may be substituted for the educational considerations in subsection (a)(2).Cal.
