Section 17237 - Depositions and Other Discovery(a) There shall be no right to take oral depositions or obtain any other form of discovery that is not expressly authorized under these Rules.(b) Oral depositions may be conducted only by stipulation of all Parties to the proceedings or by order of the appointed Hearing Officer upon a showing of substantial good cause. Oral depositions will be permitted only for purposes of obtaining the testimony of witnesses who are likely to be unavailable to testify at the hearing.(c) Nothing in this Rule shall preclude the use of deposition testimony or other evidence obtained in separate proceedings, if such evidence is otherwise relevant and admissible.Cal.
