(a) The operations to which these Orders apply are those employed at mines in the extraction of minerals, either metallic or nonmetallic. These operations include: (1) Prospecting, exploration, development, extraction of minerals, and other operations in connection therewith.(2) Placer and hydraulic mining.(3) Transportation of men, materials and equipment in areas and operations covered by these orders.(4) Operations and maintenance of the equipment applicable to the foregoing.Cal.
