Section 100067.10 - [Operative 1/1/2025] EMT Training Program Required Course Hours(a) The EMT course shall consist of not less than one hundred seventy (170) hours. These training hours shall be divided into: (1) A minimum of one hundred forty-six (146) hours of didactic instruction and skills laboratory; and(2) A minimum of twenty-four (24) hours of supervised clinical experience. The clinical experience shall include a minimum of ten (10) documented patient contacts wherein a patient assessment and other EMT skills are performed and evaluated. (A) High fidelity simulation, when available, may replace up to six (6) hours of supervised clinical experience and may replace up to three (3) documented patient contacts.(b) The minimum hours shall not include the examinations for EMT certification as specified in Sections 100065.07 and 100065.08 of this Chapter.Cal.
