(a) "Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) approving authority" means an agency or person authorized by this Chapter to approve an EMT training program, as follows: (1) The EMT approving authority for an EMT training program conducted by a qualified statewide public safety agency shall be the director of the Emergency Medical Services Authority (Authority).(2) Any other EMT training programs not included in subsection (a)(1) shall be approved by the local EMS agency (LEMSA) that has jurisdiction in the county where the training program is located.Cal.
