Section 87891 - Prohibited Conditions(a) The licensee shall not accept or retain a resident who: (1) Requires in-patient care in an acute hospital.(2) Requires treatment and/or observation by the appropriately skilled professionals for more than eight hours per day in the facility.(3) Has communicable tuberculosis or any other reportable disease as specified in Title 17, California Code of Regulations, Sections 2500, 2502 and 2503. (A) This requirement is not applicable to AIDS.(4) Requires 24-hour intravenous therapy.(5) Has a psychiatric condition(s) and is exhibiting behaviors which could present a danger to self or others.(6) Has a stage III or greater decubitus ulcer.(7) Requires renal dialysis treatment in the facility.(8) Requires life support systems, including, but not limited to, ventilators and respirators.(9) Has a diagnosis that does not include one denoting a chronic life-threatening illness.(10) Has a primary diagnosis of Alzheimers.(11) Has a primary diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease.Cal. 1. New section filed 6-7-91 as an emergency; operative 6-7-91 (Register 91, No. 38). A Certificate of Compliance must be transmitted to OAL by 10-7-91 or emergency language will be repealed by operation of law on the following day.
