(a) Outpatient heroin detoxification services shall be provided only by or through one of the following: (1) Persons or facilities approved to provide such treatment under the provisions of Subchapter 6, Title 9, California Administrative Code.(2) Persons or facilities approved to conduct research programs under the provisions of Section 11481, Health and Safety Code, and Subsection 4351(a), Welfare and Institutions Code.(3) Organized outpatient clinics appropriately licensed under the provisions of Section 400, Title 17, California Administrative Code.(4) Hospital outpatient departments appropriately licensed under the provision of Section 70103, Title 22, California Administrative Code.(5) Physicians providing office heroin detoxification services.(b) Providers of heroin detoxification services shall comply with the requirements of the appropriate State of California Codes, including but not limited to the following, as a condition for reimbursement when using a drug for heroin detoxification purposes which is covered by any of these codes:(1) Chapter 6, Title 9, California Administrative Code.(2) Section 11481, Subsection 4351, Health and Safety Code.(3) Sections 26670, 26678 or 26679, Health and Safety Code.Cal.
