Section 42050 - Family Physician(a) A CCS Panel Family Physician is a physician who has been approved (in accordance with subsection (b) of this regulation) to provide services through the CCS program and who meets all of the following participating standards: (1) Is currently licensed by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance.(2) Has been certified by the American Board of Family Practice.(3) Has expertise in the care of physically handicapped children as outlined in subsection (d) of this section.(b) In order to be approved to provide services through the CCS program, a Family Physician must: (1) Obtain a CCS Panel Application Form (MC 2100) from either the Department's CCS Branch or the county CCS Agency.(2) Submit the completed application form (MC 2100) to the Department's CCS Branch.(c) The Department shall acknowledge receipt of the CCS Panel Application within five work days and shall within ten working days, approve the application, or deny it, or return it for additional information. This five to ten day median is based upon a minimum of two days and a maximum of ten days actual experience in 1985 and 1986.(d) Panel members required by Section 123885 of the Health and Safety Code to have expertise in the care of children shall have at least five years of experience treating physically handicapped children, or have treated 100 or more such children.Cal.
