Section 1281 - QualificationsNo application for registration as a Flame-Retardant Application Concern shall be considered unless such applicant or an employee thereof first demonstrates his or her qualifications by:
(a) Passage of a written examination as prepared by the State Fire Marshal on the laws, regulations and technical aspects of flame-retardant chemicals, fabrics, materials and fibers and how they may be identified. A score of 70% is considered as minimum for passage of the written examination. In addition, the State Fire Marshal may require a practical demonstration of the applicant's ability to properly perform the acts for which application has been made.(b) Presentation of evidence of actual experience in the chemical application.(c) Possession of necessary equipment and machinery to conduct application procedures.(d) Submission of required fees as set forth in Section 13127, Health and Safety Code.Cal.
