Section 7505 - Investigations(a) The Department may make periodic or special investigation of any licensee to ascertain his competence and physical condition with respect to operating for-hire vessels.(b) The Department may investigate the operation of any vessel subject to this article and article 2 (commencing with section 760) chapter 2, division 3 of the Harbors and Navigation Code, for the sole purpose of ascertaining compliance therewith.Cal.
