Section 6595 - Prohibition of Watercraft Powered by Certain Spark-Ignition Two-Stroke EnginesCommencing October 4, 2001, the operation of all two-stroke-engine-powered watercraft on Lake Tahoe, Cascade Lake, Fallen Leaf Lake and Echo Lake, is prohibited, except watercraft powered by a two-stroke-powered engine whose engine is certified and labeled as meeting either of the following pollution air emissions standards:
(a) the 2006 or later model year United States Environmental Protection emissions standards, as specified in Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 91, or(b) the 2001 or later California Air Resources Board emissions standard, as specified in Title 13, California Code of Regulations, Chapter 9, Sections 2440 et seq.Cal.
