Section 448 - Protest Process(a) Applicants may protest the Notice of Intent to Fund by filing a written protest with the DOJ's Crime and Violence Prevention Center at 1300 I Street, Sacramento, CA, 95814.(b) The protest must be received by the DOJ within five working days from the date of posting of the Notice of Intent to Fund.(c) The applicant must file their written protest setting forth the grounds on which they base their contentions that the selection process violated Penal Code Sections 13825.1 et. seq.(d) Upon receipt of a protest, the DOJ will review the protest and respond in writing to the applicant within five working days.Cal. 1. New section filed 5-6-2002 as an emergency; operative 5-6-2002 (Register 2002, No. 19). A Certificate of Compliance must be transmitted to OAL by 9-3-2002 or emergency language will be repealed by operation of law on the following day.
