Section 2218.80 - Scope of Article

Pursuant to section 10123.192 of the Insurance Code, this article applies to a health insurer that provides prescription drug benefits and maintains one or more prescription drug formularies. This article establishes minimum standards for a prescription drug formulary that is maintained by a health insurer. A health insurer may implement additional provisions in a prescription drug formulary that exceed these standards.
