Section 7 AAC 160.100 - Program integrityThe department or its designee shall provide for and operate program integrity activities designed to promote the economical and effective administration of the department's Medicaid program. These activities may include the following:
(1) operation of a surveillance, utilization, and review subsystem within the department's system to manage Medicaid information;(2) audit activities designed to investigate fraud, abuse, over-utilization or Medicaid program compliance by providers;(3) utilization review under 7 AAC 160.140;(4) coordination with the Department of Law, the United States Department of Justice, and the United States Office of Inspector General.Eff. 2/1/2010, Register 193Authority:AS 47.05.010
