Section 5 AAC 34.926 - King crab pot marking requirements for Registration Area Q(a) Except during the winter through-the-ice commercial king crab season described in 5 AAC 34.910(d)(2), in Registration Area Q, the main buoy or trailer buoy must display one current identification tag and no other tags issued under 5 AAC 34.051.(b) In Registration Area Q, except in the Norton Sound Section of the Northern District, replacement of identification tags lost during the season is permitted if the vessel operator and three crew members submit sworn statements or affidavits, in person, at the department office in Dutch Harbor, describing how the tags were lost and listing the numbers of the lost tags.(c) In the winter through-the-ice commercial king crab season described in 5 AAC 34.910(d)(2), each king crab pot must have one current identification tag and no other tags issued by the department attached above the ice on the line attached to the pot or on the stake attached to the ice that secures the pot in a manner so that the tag is clearly visible. Current identification tags will be issued at the designated department office at the time the permit holder registers for the winter through-the-ice season.
