Section 3 AAC 157.130 - Eligible grant proposals
(a) To be eligible for a grant, proposed projects must fall within one of the following categories:
(1) ice-making and storage infrastructure projects providing service to the coastal area of
(A) Braranof Island;
(B) Wrangell Island; or
(C) Prince of Wales Island;
(2) boat haulout equipment in the Southeast region north of Cape Spencer and east of Cape Suckling;
(3) infrastructure to support the commercial troll salmon fishery;
(4) infrastructure projects that will provide a lasting benefit to the sport chinook salmon fishery under one or more of the following criteria:
(A) fish cleaning float improvements;
(B) fish waste disposal;
(C) improved access to ice;
(b) An eligible entity may apply for a minimum of $15,000 in grant money.
(c) An eligible entity may apply for a maximum of
(1) $240,000 in grant money, for a project in the category set out in (a)(1)(A) of this section;
(2) $200,000 in grant money, for a project in the category set out in (a)(1)(B) of this section;
(3) $120,000 in grant money, for a project in the category set out in (a)(1)(C) of this section;
(4) $50,000 in grant money, for a project in a category set out in (a)(2) or (3) of this section;
(5) $250,000 in grant money, for a project in a category set out in (a)(4)(A) or (B) of this section;
(6) $75,000 in grant money, for a project in the category set out in (a)(4)(C) of this section.
