Wick v. Weiler

Appellate Court of Illinois, First District
Jun 24, 1940
306 Ill. App. 268 (Ill. App. Ct. 1940)

Opinion

Gen. No. 41,048. (Abstract of Decision.)

Opinion filed June 24, 1940

BANKRUPTCY, § 55trustee, action for interest bankrupt would have inherited from deceased wife. Where wife of bankrupt assigned interest in her father's estate to her sister, from whom she had borrowed money, and after her death some of the money from proceeds of her father's estate was used to buy life insurance for her son, and the rest of the money was given to the sister, trustee in bankruptcy of her husband could not contend that assignment did not convey all wife's interest in estate to her sister, so that bankrupt was entitled to part of the money under the rules of descent.
