REPORT AND RECOMMENDATION
To the Honorable Lewis A. Kaplan, United States District Judge:
The complaint of plaintiff Sylvia Vaz OBO Grace Vaz in this Social Security action states that they live in Brooklyn, New York. (Dkt. No. 2: Compl. ¶ 2.) Appeals from decisions of the Social Security Administration are to be brought in the District where the plaintiff resides. 42 U.S.C. § 405(g). Accordingly, I recommend that the action be transferred to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. See also, e.g., Pilgrim v. Commissioner of Soc. Sec., 01 Civ. 7371, 2001 WL 1222213 at *1 (S.D.N Y Oct. 12, 2001) (Peck, M.J.).
