Victor RAMOS, Appellant v. City of LAREDO, Appellee

From the 111th Judicial District Court, Webb County, Texas
Trial Court No. 2015CVT003985 D2
Honorable Susan D. Reed, Judge Presiding

ORDER

Appellant's brief was originally due July 27, 2017. We granted appellant a thirty-day extension, making his brief due August 28, 2017. Appellant has now filed a second motion for extension of time, asking for an additional fifteen days in which to file his brief. After review, we GRANT appellant's motion and ORDER appellant to file his brief in this court on or before September 12, 2017. We note appellant did not include a certificate of conference in his motion. See Tex. R. App. P. 10.1(a)(5). In civil cases, all motions except those seeking rehearing or en banc reconsideration must include a certificate stating that the filing party conferred, or made a reasonable attempt to confer, with all other parties about the merits of the motion and whether the motion is opposed. Id. We advise appellant to comply with Rule 10.1(a)(5) in all future filings.
