Super. Ct. No. SF106224A
CANTIL-SAKAUYE, J.
This case comes to us on a Wende request. Following the denial of defendant Reagan Juan Thomas’s motion to suppress evidence, he entered a negotiated settlement whereby he pled no contest to possession of an illegal weapon (a double-edged throwing knife). He was sentenced to the middle term of two years, restitution fines of $200 were imposed in accordance with Penal Code section 1202.4 and 1202.45, and he was ordered to pay a court security fee of $20.
People v. Wende (1979) 25 Cal.3d 436.
FACTS
When police officers from the Stockton Police Department sought a consensual encounter with defendant he fled, but was captured and a “six-inch throwing type knife [was found] at the base of the defendant’s feet.”
We appointed counsel to represent defendant on appeal. Counsel filed an opening brief that sets forth the facts of the case and requests this court to review the record and determine whether there are any arguable issues on appeal. (People v. Wende, supra, 25 Cal.3d 436.) Defendant was advised by counsel of the right to file a supplemental brief within 30 days of the date of filing of the opening brief. More than 30 days elapsed, and we received no communication from defendant. Having undertaken an examination of the entire record, we find no arguable error that would result in a disposition more favorable to defendant.
DISPOSITION
The judgment if affirmed.
We concur: SIMS, Acting P. J. HULL, J.
