Christian Barbosa Barillas pleaded guilty to battery with serious bodily injury, a felony (Pen. Code, § 243, subd. (d)), and cruelty to an animal with personal use of a deadly and dangerous weapon, a felony (§§ 597, subd. (a); 12022, subd. (b)(1)). He waived the right to appeal in his felony disposition statement.
All statutory references are to the Penal Code. --------
The trial court placed Barillas on felony probation for three years. As a condition of probation, the court ordered Barillas to serve two concurrent 364-day sentences in county jail. The court deemed the jail terms served. The trial court denied his request for a certificate of probable cause.
We appointed counsel to represent Barillas in this appeal. After examining the records, she filed a brief raising no issues. On May 11, 2020, we advised Barillas by mail that he had 30 days within which to personally submit any contentions or issues that he wished to raise on appeal. We received no reply.
We have reviewed the entire record and are satisfied that Barillas's attorney has fully complied with her responsibilities and that no arguable issue exists. (People v. Wende (1979) 25 Cal.3d 436, 441.)
The judgment is affirmed.
