No. 14-02-01188-CV (Tex. App. Dec. 2, 2003)

Opinion

No. 14-02-01188-CV

Memorandum Opinion filed December 2, 2003.

On Appeal from the 295th District Court, Harris County, Texas, Trial Court Cause No. 01-20968.

Affirmed

Panel consists of Justices EDELMAN, FROST, and GUZMAN.

MEMORANDUM OPINION

In this shareholder derivative action, Lien and Nga Nguyen appeal a take-nothing judgment entered in favor of Xuan T. Vu, James Nguyen, Tracy Nguyen, Van Nguyen, Lac Cong Pham, and Super Golden Investment, Inc. on the ground that the trial court erred in awarding Super Golden (the corporation on behalf of which they sued) attorney's fees totaling $11,702.00 against them. However, because appellants' brief provides neither citations to legal authority or the record, nor any reasoning or argument, to support their claim, it affords no basis for relief and is overruled. Accordingly, the judgment of the trial court is affirmed.

See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.1(h) (an appellant's brief must contain a clear, concise argument for the contentions made, including appropriate citations to authorities and to the record); Fed. Sign v. Tex. S. Univ., 951 S.W.2d 401, 410 (Tex. 1997); Nguyen v. Kosnoski, 93 S.W.3d 186, 188 (Tex. App.-Houston [14th Dist.] 2002, no pet.).
