AUTOMOBILES AND MOTOR VEHICLES, § 85.3injury to pedestrian as unavoidable, directed verdict. Where another car struck defendant's car, causing the latter to go out of control, and it struck and injured a pedestrian on a public sidewalk, the cause of the accident was entirely beyond the control of the defendant and a directed verdict for defendant at close of plaintiff's evidence was proper.

Appeal from Superior Court of Cook county; Hon. GROVER C. NIEMEYER, presiding.

Affirmed. Heard in first division, first district, this court at June term, 1941.
