Sitting: Alma L. LÓPEZ, Chief Justice, Catherine STONE, Justice, Sarah B. DUNCAN, Justice.
MEMORANDUM OPINION
Relator John B. Williams filed a petition for a writ of mandamus alleging that the Bexar County District Clerk Margaret Montemayor has failed to act as required by law in four civil suits filed by relator in the Bexar County district courts. This court does not have mandamus jurisdiction over district clerks unless it is shown the issuance of the writ is necessary to enforce our jurisdiction. See Tex. Gov't Code Ann. § 22.221(a), (b) (Vernon 2004); In re Simpson, 997 S.W.2d 939 (Tex. App.-Waco 1999, orig. proceeding). Relator has made no such allegation or showing. We therefore dismiss the petition for want of jurisdiction.
No costs shall be assessed against relator because he is indigent.
