Original Proceeding on Petition for Writ of Mandamus

MEMORANDUM OPINION

Proceeding pro se, relator, Leonard Lee Smith, has filed a petition for a writ of mandamus, representing that he has filed a pretrial petition for a writ of habeas corpus and seeking to compel the trial court "to honor, respond, and show cause why [relator] continues to be detained."

The underlying cause is The State of Texas v. Leonard Lee Smith, cause number 16-CR-2070, in the 10th District Court of Galveston County, Texas, the Honorable Kerry L. Neves presiding.

We deny the petition for a writ of mandamus.
