Appeal from the County Court at Law No. 5 of El Paso County, Texas (TC# 2022DCM6598)
Before Alley, C.J., Palafox and Soto, JJ.
ORDER
Pursuant to Tex.R.App.P. 10.4(a), this Order may have been issued by a single Justice sitting on the panel.
The brief filed by Appellant A.R. on June 10, 2024, does not comply with Texas Rules of Appellate Procedure 38, 9.1(b), and 9.5(e). Although Rule 38 deficiencies may affect the result of the appeal, the Court may accept the brief without requiring such deficiencies to be corrected. However, Appellant is ORDERED to correct the Rule 9.1(b) and 9.5(e) deficiencies by filing a supplemental document no later than June 21, 2024, containing:
(1)a signature line signed by each appellant for whom the brief is being filed, with the party's mailing address, telephone number, fax number (if any), and email address listed under the line; and
(2)a statement signed by the appellant who is serving the brief and supplemental document on the opposing parties indicating the date and method of service; the name and address
(or email address) at which each recipient is being served; and if an attorney is being served, the name of the party represented by the attorney.
The brief filed on June 10, 2024, does not indicate whether it was filed by both parents of S.R. or only one parent. No rule requires both parents to participate, but each participating parent's signature is required on the brief.
Appellees' brief will be due 20 days after the filing of such supplemental document.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
